SETTING

Dhun School is set within 500 acres of regenerated land—home to over 300,000 trees, wild grasslands, organic farms, a dairy, and freshwater ponds. Here, children learn in the company of 180 species of birds and animals, including cows, goats, sheep, and horses.

Designed as an ever-present teacher, the school’s built environment integrates learning into everyday experiences. Classrooms open to the landscape, framing seasonal farms, wilderness, and the movement of horses in the paddock. Waterways turn play into lessons on fluid dynamics. Herb gardens and beekeeping connect students to ecology and food systems. Traditional cooling techniques and natural materials demonstrate sustainability in action.

At its heart stands an ancient neem and kair tree—a constant reminder that learning, like nature, is rooted, growing, and ever-evolving.

Centered around an ancient Neem tree, the school frames views of forests, farmland, and open wilderness. A natural entryway with free-grazing animals fosters early connections with biodiversity.
